Plan your studies

Finding the appropriate courses and putting together the study plan is the most time-consuming part of the application.

When looking for courses that you would like to take, remember to focus on what you need and want, namely courses at the appropriate level that fits your education and can be credited when you return. The courses should not overlap courses you have studied at Lund University. Please also note that language courses are not accepted.

In the Lund University database of exchange agreements you will find information that can answer relevant questions such as:

  • How many points are required for full-time study?
  • Are there any specific requirements you need to fulfil?
  • Are there restrictions on what courses you can apply for?

The course selections that you make in your application are not definitive. The courses offered for the semester that you're looking for are often not available at the time of application and should you be nominated, your choice of courses may be changed several times before the beginning your exchange period.  However, usually the selections of courses do not change significantly from semester to semester or academic year to academic year. Please also note that you need to receive the approval from the Director of Studies for any course changes that migt occur.

Please also remember that it is the host university that ultimately will determine which courses you are accepted to.
