Fieldwork in Asia

During the fourth semester you have the possibility to travel to Asia to carry out fieldwork and collect material for your master's thesis.

You can choose to do the fieldwork on your own or to be affiliated with one of the Centre for East and South-East Asian Studies’ academic partners in Asia, currently Fudan University, China, Waseda University, Japan, and Thammasat University, Thailand.

If you decide to spend time at one of our partner institutions the Centre will pay for the tuition fees at the partner university and you will be covered by the Swedish State’s Insurance during Education Abroad (STUDENT UT) during the stay.
