 critique.&nbsp\;Short Bio:Boon Kia Meng is a political anthropologist and 
 holds a PhD. in Area Studies from Kyoto University\, Japan. His work is si
 tuated at the intersection of political anthropology and political theory\
 , focusing on law\, policing and the coloniality of power in Malaysia. As 
 postdoc with the Urban Frontiers project at University of Copenhagen\, he 
 is researching peri-urban land conflict\, property and citizenship in post
