LUBcat - our new library system
The new library system, LUBcat, will replace our current system, Lovisa, in June. One of the functionalities that will be improved is that it will be easier to log in to LUBcat.
From the 25th of May, it will not be possible to order books from our closed stacks via the web, or from one library at Lund University to another. If you want to borrow books from Asia Library's closed stacks, please talk to the library staff at the information desk.
Lovisa will be shut down the 7th of June at 12.00. It will not be possible to renew loans nor request books.
LUBcat will be up and running before Midsummer, the 22nd of June, and it will be possible to request and renew books again.
During the period between Lovisa and LUBcat, the Lund University Libraries' services for borrowing and returning books will be limited, and services will vary between the libraries. Please, visit the Lund University libraries' web page for opening hours, and for information about limited services during the replacement period.
For example, at the University Library (UB) you will not be able to borrow books, only return them.
At the Asia library you will be able to borrow and return books until the 8th of June, 13.00.
From June 9th, the Asia library is closed for the summer and will not open again until the 27th of August at 10.00.
We appreciate if you return and/or check out the books you need before Lovisa is shut down, as this will make the process of changing systems go smoother. Thanks for your cooperation!
