The Centre moves to the Joint Faculties of Humanities and Theology.
There it becomes the third section of the Department of History which apart from the section of history also includes the section of human rights. As a result of this organisational change the Asia Library will become the third library at the Joint Faculties of Humanities and Theology. The Centre continues to have an interdisciplinary focus and the Master Programme will remain a master in social sciences. The Centre and the Asia Library will also remain in the current location.
The Centre has a new directive (see here) that stipulates its interdisciplinary focus and that it will continue to work to strengthen knowledge about East and South-East Asia at Lund University. The new advisory board (to be announced in January) also aims to further cross-faculty collaboration.
