Paul O'Shea has written an article on how international relations theory is being misused to explain the war in Ukraine.

The article examines the question: who is to blame for Russia's invasion of Ukraine? Prominent members of the 'realist' school have laid the blame for the war on NATO and the West. Surprisingly, some leftist scholars and opinion leaders are using the same reasoning, although realist theory and progressive politics are philosophically incompatible. The article expands on these contradictions.
