Vipin Negi

 

Vipin Negi was a post-doctoral research fellow at the Centre for East and Southeast Asian Studies, Lund University. He visited the Centre during the period September 2009 to June 2010 in the frame of the Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window Programme. This grant programme is financed by the European Commission.

Vipin is an Assistant Professor of Economics in Keshav College at University of Delhi, New Delhi India. He was teaching the papers on Micro Economics, Macro Economics and Indian Economy there. He received a Ph.D in Economics from Jamia Millia Islamia Central University, New Delhi in 2003.

His primary research interests are foreign portfolio investment and foreign direct investment to India. He is working on the main determinants of inward foreign direct investment to India during the post-reform period. At the Centre, Vipin will undertake a project to work on the issue of rapid expansion of service sector as the largest sector in terms of its contribution in GDP in India in the last 20 years and its implications on the nature and direction of the development process of India’s economy.
