In 2004 the Centre for East and South-East Asian Studies started publishing a publication series titled Working Papers in Contemporary Asian Studies.
The aim of the series is to provide a forum for new, interdisciplinary research on contemporary Asia. The series includes contributions, each between 25 to 50 pages in length, written by researchers active at the Centre or by visiting scholars who have presented papers at seminars or other activities organised by the Centre.
Each volume consists of one working paper only, and carries a unique ISBN. The series as a whole has its own ISSN. In addition to the printed series, the working papers are also available in pdf-format on the Centre’s homepage. The volumes in the series are free of charge. Each volume is available in an edition of 200 copies only.
