Research day on East and South-East Asian Studies

On 16 November, the Centre gathered 19 scholars at Lund University, including six scholars at the Centre, to discuss their research and possible future collaboration.

The Centre has identified some 26 scholars at Lund University, including ph.d students and more senior scholars, but all were not able to attend. The plan is to arrange some further networking meetings in the coming months. The Centre is working to strengthen research in Lund concerning contemporary East and South-East Asia, building upon existing strengths at the Centre and Lund University. The Centre has recently hired three new scholars and is in the process to develop its strategic plan for the next five years. The Centre is also engaged in developing new contacts with scholars and institutions in Sweden, Europe, Asia and elsewhere.
