The Centre for East and South-East Asian Studies is actively participating in the Lund University 350th Anniversary celebrations during 2017 and we will organize several academic events during the thematic weeks where researchers at the Centre, other scholars at Lund University, as well as invited international scholars will discuss timely topics.
We kick of our activities already on 8 March with an open lecture titled Post-Coup Thailand: Anxiety over the Royal Succession.
The day after, 9 March, we organize an open lecture titled Street Violence, State-Making, and Popular Nationalism in South Korea as well as a screening of the film To Singapore, with Love.
